I'm a certified Amnanda Practitioner and an MBACP accredited Transpersonal Therapeutic Arts Counsellor. For many years I have supported people in exploring and transforming their inner worlds through art, colour and form — in schools, hospices and in private practice.
Alongside this, I've long recognised the power of body-based emotional release. Just as art softens the mind's stories, the body holds memories that can also be gently released.
On my own healing journey, Ayurveda has been a guiding light. Discovering the Amnanda Process felt like finding the missing piece — a deeply calming somatic approach to releasing tension, stress, and emotional patterns over time, allowing true transformation to unfold.
Between treatments, art workshops and teaching, I find joy in painting, wild swimming, baking cakes and honouring the cycles of the year.

Art offers a unique path to reconnect with our subconscious selves, a space where we store emotions, memories and experiences that often impact our conscious lives. Through art, we can release trapped feelings, gain clarity and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and the world around us. The artwork becomes a mirror, offering insight into the emotional and psychological states that shape our lives. Through the creative process we can explore deep-seated emotions, unresolved issues and patterns that may feel impossible to address through words alone. And the beauty of using colour and form as tools for healing is that no artistic experience is necessary. It is a gentle, yet powerful process.

After three decades immersed in the demanding yet rewarding world of academia — teaching, researching, and writing — I felt called to a deeper, more soulful path. Though I was honoured to receive awards and be recognised for my sensitivity and creativity, something within me yearned for greater alignment and healing.
I first encountered the Amnanda Process through my daughter’s journey with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and then through my own healing experience. The Process was nothing short of transformative, awakening a profound sense of peace, clarity, and renewal. I feel truly blessed to be a qualified practitioner, able to share this deeply alchemical and restorative experience with others.
When I can, I reconnect with the natural world alongside my beloved canine companion, Loki. We walk, swim in wild waters, and forage; rituals that continue to ground and nourish my spirit.
Developed from the ancient Tibetan tradition of Ayurveda, the Amnanda Process is a year-long therapeutic journey that gently supports deep healing of the body, mind and spirit. Through 12 monthly oil treatments, the process is designed to release the lasting effects of stress and trauma.
The word Amnanda means “ The Path to Joy” or “Way to Inner Peace” in Sanskrit. And this joy — calm, grounded, and resilient — is what begins to emerge as the treatment unfolds.
It's not a quick fix, it's a deeply soothing, body-based way to gently release long-held tension, stress, and old emotional patterns — a profound letting go at a cellular level, and a return to your truest self.
Amnanda is considered a Rasayana in the Ayurvedic tradition — meaning a path of rejuvenation. It addresses the physical and emotional residues left behind by long-term stress and trauma which, over time, can block our natural healing capacity and accelerate aging.
According to Ayurvedic understanding, every emotional or physical trauma leaves a residual imprint in our tissues and cellular memory, so-called crystalline residues. These imprints — left unaddressed — can affect our mood, vitality, and ability to heal.
The gentle combination of using oils, touch, herbs, and presence offers a powerful restorative experience.
The Amnanda Process is an integrative approach that softens the past’s grip on your present — so you can move forward with more ease, energy, and purpose. This helps your body to gently reinterpret and release those experiences. Using:
To calm the nervous system. The oils are massaged in with light, rhythmic strokes — not deep-tissue pressure — to open energetic and cellular pathways without reactivating trauma.
To nourish tissues and assist with detox. These carefully prepared Ayurvedic oils are infused with herbs, mantras, and intention. The process to make these oils takes several months and is key to their healing quality.
To bring awareness and integration.
We create a calm, supportive space where you can just be. No pressure, no expectations. Whether you're coming because you’re feeling overwhelmed, at a crossroads in life, recovering from loss, or simply wanting to reconnect with yourself — you’re welcome, just as you are.

Because each treatment builds on the last, the effects are cumulative — releasing old tensions and bringing in a new level of wellbeing with each step. Clients report:
